1. Xbox One Wireless Controller

Just one controller won’t be enough if you’ve got multiple gamers in your home. Most local co-op games support between two and four players, so figure on getting one controller for each person. xbox one accessories

The original Xbox 360 controller was essentially perfect, and Microsoft says they’ve made over 40 improvements to that design. The new D-pad is more responsive and easier to press, and it’s been designed for optimal response in fighting games, shooters and sports titles. The controller has a 30-foot range for couch gaming, enhanced rumble features, and

The Xbox One’s Kinect camera will automatically recognize players and determine which controller they’re holding, allowing for easy pick-up-and-play gaming between friends and family. If you’re into computer gaming as well, this controller will most likely also be compatible with your PC.

This controller requires two “AA” batteries. If you buy the Play & Charge Kit version, you’ll be able to recharge your batteries while you play so you’ll never miss out on any action. The Play & Charge Kit comes with a lithium-ion battery back that recharges fully in just four hours. Since you won’t need to buy batteries to power your controller, you’ll actually save lots of cash in the long run with this.

The Xbox One controller is priced at $59.99 retail, and the Play & Charge Kit version will cost $74.99 retail. Both will be sold starting November 22. You can read more about it and buy now on Amazon.

You can also buy the Play & Charge Kit separately for only $24.99.

2. Headset

Even though the Xbox One comes with a headset, if you appreciate crisp, clear surround sound, you’ll need to buy one of your own. Unlike the PS4, not just any headset will work with the One. Microsoft originally stated that current headsets xbox one accessorieswouldn’t work with the console at all, but they now plan to release an adapter that will make most headsets compatible.

If you would rather not wait for the adapter, you’re in luck. Microsoft has partnered with Turtle Beach to make a pair of headsets that’s designed just for the One–the Ear Force XO Four and the Ear Force XO Seven. Turtle Beach has an excellent reputation for headset audio, and these two headset models look like they’re made with gamers in mind.

First, I’ll talk about what these models have in common. Both have a powerful microphone that’s great for game communication or Skype chat. There’s an adjustable sound option that lets you have different volume levels for games and chat. Both headsets can even connect to your wireless phone for comfortable communication on the go. The microphone is detachable, too, so you can remove it when you need to store or pack your headphones.

How are they different? The XO Four has mesh ear cushions, but the XO Seven uses noise-isolating, extra-comfy memory foam cushions and a foam headband instead. Anyone who wears headphones for a long period of time knows they can really hurt your ears after hours, so the memory foam sounds like a very nice touch. In addition, the XO Seven supports interchangeable speaker plates for a personalized, custom look.

Both models will be sold starting November 9, but you can pre-order them right now on Expect to pay around $100 retail for the XO Four model and $160 for the XO Seven.

3. Xbox Live Gold Subscription

If you play any online games, you simply can’t do without a Live Gold subscription. Microsoft requires it for playing online, whether it’s competitive shooters or cooperative games. Microsoft is revamping the service for the launch of Xbox One. xbox one accessoriesWith Gold, you’ll also be able to use voice commands (thanks to the Kinect camera) to search for new games, music, movies and other content online. You can also browse the Web from your TV via the Internet Explorer browser.

Xbox Live Gold is also needed for access to apps such as Netflix, ESPN, Hulu Plus and many more. With a subscription, you can use your SmartGlass-enabled device as a second screen during gameplay.

Many game developers release extra content for their titles, such as new missions, maps, costumes and more. You’ll need Live Gold to buy and download them.

From now until the end of 2013, Microsoft is also giving away two free Xbox 360 games per month to Live members. Games given away so far include Dead Rising 2 and Fable 3. This promotion is likely to be extended in the future, since Sony is doing the same thing with their PS+ service.

You can buy a Live Gold membership for three months or 12 months. The three-month subscription costs $25 retail, while the 12-month plan is priced at $60, so it’s obviously a much better deal to sign up for one year.

If you’re wary about handing out a credit card to Microsoft, buy a prepaid membership online from a retailer like Amazon. If you buy from them, the membership code will be emailed to you, and you can redeem it immediately on your Xbox 360 or Xbox One. You can also redeem on

If you’re a diehard racing fan, you probably already know all about the upcoming Forza Motorsport 5 on Xbox One. You can use the wheel to boost your driving skills significantly in Forza Motorsport 5 and other future racing games.

The steering wheel comes with gear-sequential paddle shifters and metal brake and gas pedals for an authentic look and feel. The Ferrari emblem in the center of the wheel serves as your Xbox Guide button, so you’ve always got quick access to the Xbox dashboard, your friends list, and other online features.
